Court Work

Court Work can be concerned with either Civil Law or Criminal Law.

Civil Court Work

Our Civil Court Department has four experienced partners supported by other solicitors, paralegals and other support staff.

The department can provide advice and guidance in a variety of legal matters that involve the Civil Law and the need to take or defend actions in Court. Such matters include:-

  • Property disputes
  • Contract disputes
  • Building disputes
  • Debt recovery
  • Family Law and Divorce
  • Personal Injury
  • Medical or Dental Negligence
  • Professional Negligence
  • Landlord and Tenant

We endeavour to deal with matters in an efficient and cost effective manner. The aim is to resolve the problems to the benefit of the client. Where possible we aim to negotiate a favourable settlement to any dispute with a view to reducing the cost and anxiety which such disputes bring. It is not always possible to reach a favourable settlement and we are in a position to litigate if that is required.

We offer Legal Aid in such cases where the client is financially eligible. We are also prepared to consider undertaking cases on a No Win / No Fee basis.

Criminal Court Work

We have many years experience in Criminal Court Work. With the M74 and two other major trunk routes passing through the area we have considerable experience in road traffic cases.

We will accept Legal Aid cases where appropriate and the client is eligible.
